Tour 2 of Fez

4 Days

If the itineraries we offer do not suit your needs, please contact us and we will prepare your trip according to your requirements.

Day 01 :
FES – MEKNES – VOLUBILIS.

Departure for Meknes, the imperial city of Sultan Moulay Ismail, a contemporary of Louis XIV. With your guide, you will discover: the Palais Jamaï, Bab El Mansour, the tomb of Moulay Ismaïl, Hri Essaouani, the royal stables and the medina, which, like that of Fez, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Don't forget the large covered market, a feast for the senses with its spice baskets, its colorful olive stalls, its mountains of oranges and its piles of fragrant mint. Lunch in a Moroccan restaurant.

After lunch, we continue our journey to Volubilis to visit the 2000-year-old Roman site. There, you will have free time to explore the site and take photos before returning to Meknes where you will spend the night in a hotel or riad.

Dinner and overnight in a guest house in the heart of the medina.

Day 02 :
MEKNES – OUAZZAN – CHEFCHAOUEN.

Day 03 :
CHEFCHAOUEN – TÉTOUAN – TANGIER

To reach Tangier, we pass through the Arab-Andalusian city of Tetouan, nicknamed "the White". Built in 1307 during the Marinid period, it was the starting point for pirates due to its strategic location. The city reached its peak during the time of Sultan Moulay Ismail in the 18th century.

The Muslims of Andalusia, the Andalusians, fled Spain from the beginning of the 16th century and recreated in Tetouan the nobility of the cities of Muslim Spain. It has retained its Andalusian soul, making it one of the most Hispanic-Moorish cities in Morocco.

Visit the El Hot souk, known for its beautiful pottery; that of the tanners or the fabric market where Rif women in their traditional costume sell their red, white and blue striped fabrics typical of the Rif. Don't miss Hassan II Square (FEDDANE), the Royal Palace built in the 17th century and restored in the 20th century. Lunch in Tétouan before continuing to Tangier where we will settle for the night in a historic place built by the Eastern Telegraph Company in the Kasbah district.

With the development of the telegraph, the English connected Tangier and Gibraltar by a telegraph cable. They built the current building in 1884 to set up their offices and receive their guests.

Day 04 :
TANGER – FES

AFTER BREAKFAST WE DRIVE BACK TO FES EITHER VIA THE MOTORWAY OR VIA CHEFCHAOUEN AND OUAZZAN.
