Tour 5 from Agadir

Day 01 :
Agadir – Tata

Our driver will pick you up at 09:00 at your accommodation or at the airport in Agadir. Today we will enjoy a beautiful drive with some scenic photo stops towards Tata. This is the order of the day for excursions off the beaten track such as Akka Oasis, Desert Camping and the rock engravings at Oum el-Alek, Tircht and Ait Herbil, which are among the most beautiful in the whole country.

On the way we will enjoy a picnic lunch. Tata is located in the Sahara plain at the foot of Jebel Bani. The town was an oasis settlement along the trade route from West Africa.

Overnight including half board at Dar Infiane, Tata

Day 02 :
Tata – Foum Zguid – Erg Chegaga

Morning departure after breakfast to reach the high and huge sand dunes of Erg Chegaga. On the way we will enjoy some interesting stops to appreciate the beauty of the southern region before arriving in FoumZguid for lunch. After that we will take the path across the dry lake of Irqui to reach the wonderful Erg Chegaga desert with its huge dunes and unique silence. After admiring the sunset over the sand dunes, a traditional dinner will be served and the night will be spent in nomad tents or under the stars. Overnight including half board at Sahara Services Standard Camp, Erg Chegaga.

Day 03 :
Erg Chegaga – M’hamid – Tamegroute – Draa Valley – Agdz

Early in the morning, enjoy the sunrise over the sand dunes followed by a hearty breakfast at the camp. We leave our desert camp and continue our journey towards the village of M’hamid where you will have time to relax and have lunch at our hotel Kasbah Sahara Services.

In the afternoon we continue towards the village of Tamegroute to visit the Koran library and the old Kasbah. Our journey takes us towards Zagora, through the beautiful Draa valley and on to Agdz. Overnight including half board in Agdz

Day 04 :
Agdz – Taznacht – Taliouine – Taroudant – Agadir

Today we travel from Agdz towards the Berber village of Taznakht where we will visit a carpet weaving cooperative. The town has been described as the “home of the Khenif (carpet)” where the entire population is engaged in weaving and embroidery.

Lunch will be taken locally. We then continue to Taliouine where the best Moroccan saffron comes from. After an interesting visit to a saffron cooperative we continue to our last stop. Taroudant is one of the oldest towns in the country which has well preserved the character of its past. We will be back in Agadir where our driver will take you either to your accommodation or to the airport.
